Club successful a year or two back, failed to maintain position and fade a bit with other teams working out how to beat their strategy, new manager who wants to play a different style, fans gets narky while he is developing it.

Possibly doesn't help that the guy who hired him gets killed in a helicopter crash mid season, by the way.
