you should try Chilean pool

really tiny pockets with sharp edges and an interesting variation where you have to pot the balls in numerical order for points.

they all also start in specific points along the rails. Quite hard.

I assume this variation has a name. Not sure what it is through. Far more interesting than normal pool though
