Press news in...

We have arrived at a very cold Colney Training Centre ready for Daniel Farke's press conference ahead of our game against Birmimgham tomorrow night.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: We have some good and bad news. Marco Stiepermann has been training the whole week and is available for tomorrow. He may be back in the starting line-up or an option on the bench. He had a brilliant December, so it's good news that he's back and another really good option for us.

DF: We also have good news with Jamal Lewis and Emi Buendia, they were able to handle the load against West Brom. They are totally back in shape and Grant Hanley is also back and available after suspension.

DF: Moritz Leitner is still out, we hope he will join us in training after the Sheffield game. Alex Tettey has a muscle injury and he will be out for three weeks at least. We expect him to be back against Ipswich. There was also a set-back for Timm Klose during the week, he felt pain again in his knees. He went to London to see a specialist to get injections and is now in Switzerland to see his specialist there to find a solution. There is a possibility of an operation which would mean he is out for six weeks, but we will try to find another solution and hope to have him back soon.

DF: It's not easy but we will try to find some solutions. We have different options in order to change our base formation and replace him one for one. Tom Trybull is an option, Kenny McLean is an option and so is Louis Thompson, but we have to be careful because he is only just back. There might be an option to give him some game time with the Under-23s instead.

DF: The plan is to play Carlton Morris with the Under-23s on Monday and hopefully he can get some good minutes there.

DF: We have to stay awake, but if Timm needs an operation and will be out for a few months then it will mean that perhaps we have to think about an external solution. But not at the moment, we hope we can find a quicker solution.

DF: It was the wish of Ben Marshall [to go on loan] and it was a tricky six months for him. He had a few problems and then was out with some small injuries and illnesses and we had a lot of competition in that area. We didn't force this move because he is an experienced player, but if the player wants this move then you have to allow it.

DF: I don't have the feeling that we are short of home grown players, so we are not too concerned.

DF: We are pretty relaxed and Ivo [Pinto] is still in talks with a club, but there is no final decision. He is still an important member of our group and he's a good lad. He is back and is in training with us but we won't involve him until it is 100% clear.

DF: I'm full of respect of the career and work life of Marcelo Bielsa and full of respect of what he has done in terms of football at Leeds. With this situation we are speaking a lot about quality, style and class and for this reason I won't comment on it in public because we as a Club are full of style and quality and we would expect no other clubs to comment on our topics.

DF: You always feel for a head coach when he [David Wagner] has to leave the club after such a successful time. He was one of the biggest sensations and able to lead Huddersfield into the Premier League and then stay for a second season. It is sad when such a relationship comes to an end but the club and David made it clear it was mutual. I'm sure he will use the time now to reflect and recover and I'm pretty sure we will see him again in the dug-out.

DF: In the recent months I have been linked with so many jobs but I don't pay too much attention, it's quite normal.
In this period there is time to talk about the future [signing a new contract with Norwich] and when there is a final decision we will speak about this in public.

DF: It's an unbelievably difficult game because Birmingham are solid. It's a team who plays in a different style to us, they are disciplined against the ball and a big threat in the offence. It is difficult to score against them and we are aware of this. It will be important that we control the ball and also the counter attacks. We must be patient in order to create chances to score.

DF: Our results in the home games have been pretty good and we know that Carrow Road is a fortress. We are looking forward to winning points again and that's what we are trying to do. We need Carrow Road to be a fortress again and we 100% need our supporters tomorrow because it will be a game where we have to be patience. We need our supporters to help us and carry us.

DF: We have to use our players to help the Club sell tickets [The Ticket Office season ticket campaign]. We are a family Club and a rounded Club, so that's what the players have to do in their free time to help.

DF: I'm pleased with how Ben [Godfrey] has fullfilled the role so far and I'm sure he can carry on with quality. He has been more consistent than I expected wtih him being so young. We also have Grant Hanley back for the centre-back role and with game time he is also an option.

DF: You think about all the influences the night before [when picking the team] and don't sleep an unbelievable amount of hours and sometimes you have to be there with a late decision.

That's all from Daniel. There will be more news at canaries.co.uk throughout the day..
