No deal is not a credible threat anyway

So ruling it out doesn’t weaken your negotiating position. A no deal hard brexit would cause such harm that you’d have to be a fool or a disaster capitalist to say it’s on the table. That kind of talk gets discounted.

May’s red lines need to change. If the red lines remain as they are, then what we got from the EU is all there is. Change the red lines, change the deal. Anything else is cake based fantasy.

Finally, The notion that the UK is going to bully a collective of 27 nations with threats is pie in the sky. It’s a bit like us getting shirty with the USA and expecting them to cave. If we leave, we’re going to be a vassal state one way or another, whatever we do, whether we like it or not. That’s just where the balance of power lies now we’ve told them to shove it.
