I did wonder about that

I'd assumed after the WW have been defeated at immense cost (probably including Jon and Dany) Sansa would rule (because she's like Queen Elizabeth, taking the Starks as the Yorks and the Lannisters as the Lancasters, and GRRM has based the whole human part loosely on the wars of the Roses), possibly with Dany/Jon's child as heir, probably re-married to Tyrion. Or something.

But I could be completely wrong and it could be signalling that both girls die soon but Jon lives on longer.
