Kept Villa in the Prem which their subsequent manager failed to do (basket case club at the time). Kept Blackburn in Championship which their subsequent manager failed to do (basket case club at the time). Did fine at Wolves and was unfortunate to be shafted when the new owners came in (though that did work out well for Wolves) and was probably a bit unlucky at Stoke and having got rid of him they are not pulling up trees this season. He's already beaten us 7-1 at home and masterminded our 5-1 win at Portman Rd. He's a bloody good manager and I'm not happy about this appointment at all. However he needs a job (fair enough) so gotta grin and bear it.
