Does anyone feel in any way sorry for the genuine supporter who wanted McCarthy out? We had - and still get - the same grief about Hughton, from fans of other clubs who give us the whole, “What do they expect” guff. Is it wrong for football fans to want to see entertaining football? Is it wrong for a football fan to believe that a manager isn’t right for the club even if the next manager turns out to be worse? MM worked miracles at Ipswich but the club has been badly run since Evans took over. Of course it’s funny if they go down and we go up but I can’t make jokes about how they wanted MM out when I’ve had to put up with comments about Hughton and the amazing job he did. Sometimes you have to get worse before you get better.
