from 16, mostly at some very decent companys. I dont know anyone who worked in the private sector who has a final salary pension. In my case, my pension was destroyed when the parent company went bust and took it with them, pre compensation legislation. Fortunately 80% was recovered and is now with the FCS or whatever they are called, giving me a whopping £392/m
