have had fun with Plusnet and Virgin settings in the past

But once they work it's a fire and forget sort of thing, it's weird, some phones/sims work fine with no hassle, some need all the info added manually.

sounds more like a setup issue than any deal breaker...

PS- forums are full of conflicting and not always helpful advice (and note where I'm writing this :)
