Trouble is av its peoples perspective isn't it.

I know people who whinge and whine about everything and as tombs said 'its never their fault, always the systems' when it quite clearly is their fault through wrong life choices. Then as pants said I ran out of work as a self employed roofer in the early 90's and despite always paying taxes etc was entitled to £30 a week with two young children - I didn't even bother signing on and survived on handouts for 6 months. Then when I worked for the mod I had a few probs and seeked union help after paying sub's for 20 years and they were utterly useless because the yanks paid us they didn't want to get involved. Think tombs post was somewhat 'tongue I cheek' - well that's how I took it anyway.
