... which wasn't justified by his performances. A level of confidence is good, but you can be cocky, which I thought he was, especially before his injury. If he'd significantly improved the team, it would have been fine, but when you show up and actually say "If Norwich stay up, a lot of that will probably be down to me" and fail to add anything of real worth to the side, you're setting yourself up for a big fall.

Hughes is making him look like a decent Prem player but I still don't think he'll amount to too much more than that - still too lightweight, quite skilful but not scoring enough for a centre-forward and doesn't offer enough defensively to be a right-winger, really. And probably not good enough for a free role.

It'll be interesting finding out if I'm right, though ...
