Those ideologies, as you put it, are where people actually do care. Many people want to see the rail services renationalised, as they are a farce. As for academies, did anyone ever believe this was the answer to educational needs? Did you? I certainly didn’t; after over a decade of working in them I’m yet to see any benefit that wouldn’t have happened anyway, and I have seen a relative decline in my wages. Win-win, if you’re managing a MAT.
