It was a link that led to a download to your Computer. Personally

downloading anything to my PC from an unknown third party website is a risk I try to avoid. Downloading something uploaded from somebody else's PC to that website doubles that risk.

There are plenty of ways to share a photo without such a convoluted and risky process.
