This might be true, and it also might be true that he

has had stuff going on which we don't know about and which he didn't know how to handle, and is actually now starting to work it out and correct it.

As a striker, he would be entering the prime of his career between now and the next season or two. It's a now or never thing for him. To fix it and be a success at Norwich is going to be a lot of hard work for him now that Farke has had to go out and replace him, which I am sure he would rather not have had to do but the result is that this season Nelson needs NCFC more than NCFC needs him. He has to recognise that.

We weren't getting offers for him, certainly not from clubs of a similar or higher level, so if he does indeed want to avoid ending his career at the Portuguese (or English) version of Fleetwood, then his only option is to force his way back into the Norwich line-up and start performing as he did two years ago. That's the only way he's every going to have success at our level or higher, whether that be with Norwich, or attracting a potential transfer.
