Went up to New rd to watch the semi final

With the other fans who couldn't get tickets
(there were only 500 allocated per club who made the day... Some of those were then taken, rightly, by the club for the players families....)

I then nipped back to Cardiff to watch the final with my Somerset supporting friends (who normally make it to finals day, but who also didn't get tickets when Somerset only released about 300 to the fans..).

Watching it on TV I reckon finals day would be better for neutrals than for fans. It was all so tense, and, personally, the endless conga lines and crowd singalongs of sweet Caroline would have sent me loopy. Yesterday.

On another day, watching teams I'm not fussed about, I reckon the day would be a real experience.

The final itself was brilliantly balanced, really well contested by two teams who are competing in the right way. It was quite emotional watching our team of mostly homegrown (and young) players hold it together on the biggest stage.

Brilliant.
