4 major positives from today

1. The biggest one for me was that for the first time in a few games I could see how we were trying to play and felt we had gone back to a “style of play.” In a few recent games we have started lumping long balls to Rhodes which does not work. Today they stuck to the passing game and although we still overplay it at times in the final third I thought we looked a lot better for it.

2. We reverted to man to man marking and against probably the tallest side we will face we kept them largely at arms length.

3. The fullbacks. Tough team for Aaron’s to make his home debut against given his stature but he wasn’t phased.

4. Leitner. His best game for us. Got on the ball. Didn’t give it away like some previous games. Works hard and seems to be growing into the playmaker role.
