If that’s the case why vote to change anything in the first place?

Surely the best thing would have been to use the actual regulations and powers that already existed in the EU to advance the cause of British workers, rather than complain falsely that these powers don’t exist and exploit and manipulate the population, turning a long established and stable scenario upside down? Would that not have been preferable?
