In my experience

They chase for a bit but lose interest if you dont respond.

A Popla appeal costs them £30, but I have never bothered.

Keep any records of payment etc in case it does end up in court but it wont unless you: appear gullible to them, make yourself an arse with them, become a repeat offender, or are just incredibly unlucky.
