1. I post on here plenty of times when we win/are successful too. My reaction after Bournemouth 1-2 Norwich, AN's first game in charge? "We are going up". Quite strange for a supposed never-ending negative ninny to react like that, huh? And the period I posted least on here was one of our most depressing ever... Roeder's time.

2. I'm four hours behind the UK, and work during the day. This means many of my posts are bound to be in the middle of the night where you are, and I then don't have time to come back in and engage in the way many others do. There's no agenda there, self-promoting conspiracy or something... we all have lives.

3. I'd question whether this forum is designed for proper discussion anyway. Most other messageboards nowadays are designed in a very different way: threads are easy to read and refresh, and the forum doesn't automatically update to a new front page every 24 hours.

4. When I do post, I get abuse. I ALWAYS get abuse. Without fail, and almost always from the same people. They see my name; they attack, and they insult (and because they see my name, they twist, they misinterpret, they sneer, and they misrepresent).

Who in the world would want to hang around for long given that? That's why Jim's so remarkable. His ability to brush everything off but stick to his guns and reach out to others is amazing. He's a far better person than I'll ever be. But very few could carry it off in the way he does.
