Been going to games since 1969 I think. Swindon at home, 1-0, Don Rogers played. I don’t get the perplexed stuff. The Big Feller is sanctimonious in tone, however legitimate his concerns, it’s the Richard Overton style pamphleteering that wears you down. Jim is best when there’s a game on or just after when he becomes just a normal guy watching footy without concerns.
I know we have no money, I like how we are trying to play, I like lots of the players, I like DF and cosy old Delia and Michael, and lovely old Carrow Road and Norfolk people and all the old familiar things that a game brings. I was bored with Chris Hughton and frustrated by how scared Alex Neill became but didn’t hate them and was sad that they failed in the end. I like winning but I don’t really care what happens.
I have no ambitions to reach and remain in the Prem desperate for 17th place playing desperate defensive football in the hope of a draw away to bloody Bournemouth or West Ham, only to tire after 75 minutes and lose 1-0. It used to be funny and fun on here but it’s mainly Jumbo and Tombs fighting manfully to be irreverent nowadays.
Debate is fine, but let’s have a laugh to for f**ks sake. Football is just the most important thing we have that isn’t important at all. Enjoy it.
