Get a big old f**k off leg of ham. Yes I know, shut up.
Leave on windowsill, unwrapped, preferably in full sun, for a week or so, depending on smell. When a nice sheen has developed, brush off excess green and slice. DO NOT REFRIGERATE. Use liberally in any recipe.
Invest in toilet roll and electrolytes in advance. You should lose about half a stone in a week.
