Isn't it more a case that a large percentage of the fan base now

came to become supporters through things like the kids for a quid initiative, community initiatives and the other promotional activity undertaken by the 'Delia regime'. These fans are maybe more like consumers than 'cut them and they bleed yellow' types.

In other words, a different kind of supporter perhaps than one which has been raised as a diehard Norwich fan from a very young age by family tradition or something else. Which would have been the majority of fans in the Chase era. This set of fans view themselves as custodians as the club and are more likely to take personal responsibility for the success or failures. And are more likely to demand and take action.

But I think this change is mirrored across most clubs, given the boom of the Premier League, and so the Deliafication of the fan base, may also just be a short hand to refer to the change in football supporter demographics in general, during here period in control.

Either way, the Deliafication is surely a progressive change overall, but it has resulted in owners (particularly of teams who have been hovering around the Premier League) being held less to account by fans than in previous eras.
