The current regime have had us being a non-selling club for a long time.

The number of times over the last few years there have been posts on here wanting us to get rid of players, have a wholesale clear-out and so on...

When it does eventually happen it’s “back to the days of Chase”. This summer we sold Maddison, something widely accepted as inevitable throughout last season, and replaced him with several others, some of whom have been very highly rated in the past and are still young. In Chase’s day Maddison wouldn’t have been replaced or it would have been a pale imitation. No slight on him, for example, but Neil Adams for Ruel Fox? Sometimes it worked out (Robins for Fleck, to name just one) but there are only so many Lee Crofts you can take.
