That’s the thing. Why do we (well, I’m not including myself in that but “you” seems a bit direct) somehow believe that we can achieve sustained success at the highest level of the sport, wealthy owners or not? If success were sustained and continuous it wouldn’t be success any more, it would be the status quo. Yes, we can do better than we are currently and we will do at some time in the future. We will also do worse. People complaining that we’re currently not at our peak - isn’t that missing the point of supporting somewhat?
And I don’t think that criticising the team should be confused for passion. Having a more balanced attitude to success and failure is not a result of caring less.
