The press are ready and waiting for the Boss.... it's always a press conference that generates plenty of attention. He should be with us shortly!
-------------------------------------------------------------
DF: Mario is back in training. No big concerns at all. Dennis Srbeny (knee) is struggling but he trained today. Grant Hanley had some problems during the week but also trained today. We will have to see how it develops. Jordan Rhodes got a hit, swollen knee but he returned today. 2 or 3 small problems after the game. All the others are okay. I expect a physical game. We will have to see, there are no big injuries but there are a few small problems.
DF: It's quite normal everyone wants to be involved in such a game. I really try to watch them carefully during training that they are 10% comfortable. It's an emotional, physical game and it's good that all my players are willing to play. We have to watch carefully if they are fully prepared.
DF: I want to go through each and every round. I was convinced the young lads would perform at Cardiff and I'm convinced they could perform at Ipswich. But the load is high at the minute. Some of the young lads who played on Tuesday have had a physical and mental load. We have to be carefull how they handle this load. It's not only that you choose experience in a big game, it's also good that you are fresh and highly-motivated for this game. Anything is possible.
DF: It's important that I calm the players down and give them confidence. Important that we go further on with our normal processes. It's a big game but in order to be successful you have to do what you know. That's what we're trying to do during this week.
DF: The nicest part of your football life is as a player. As a coach, you may to make some tough calls in terms of selection. The communication with players isn't easy. It's a part of life as a coach. When you are successful you enjoy yourself, but before games it's hard work.
DF: It's good to have such a record but I don't think it plays such a role on Sunday. A win in 2008 was from a completely different squad so we can't take confidence from that. It's about who is the better team on Sunday. We want to be there with a good performance and a really good result.
DF: Mick would be highly-motivated for such a win. It's another big difference. I'm full of respect for the work he did at Ipswich. They should be higher up the league at present. They should have beaten Sheffield Wednesday. Similar to us, we had good performances and had to wait for our first win. In the end, Ipswich will be in a much better position than they are not but hopefully not this weekend.
DF: We want to win some points in this game. The pressure is always a bit more on the home team as a derby. In a derby, there is no favourite. Anything can happen and perhaps the pressure is on the home team.
DF: I can't judge Jordan's time at Ipswich. He made 100% the right choice to join us and he would say the same. He can handle this. There was a lot of moaning about him at Sheffield United but he scored.
DF: All topics come together in a derby. You need good attitude, shape and to win the duels. Ipswich play with a lot of movement. Important we bring our strengths on the pitch. In many games this season, we've been able to score many goal and create many chances.
DF: Deadline day for loans in the UK. Some windows are open in other countries so you can't deny everything what happens in the future. Something could happen but there's been no phone call between the last three hours between me and Stuart Webber. I don't expect much to happen.
DF: Our young lads aren't going anywhere. We need them. It's a dream for supporters to bring our starlets out of our academy. It's important for the future of our club.
DF: I don't see many other clubs with so many academy players involved in such big games.
DF: Max Aarons is a brilliant lad. He deserves to be in the squad at the moment. He deserves all the praise. It's more than deserved that he got this call for England. There are no gifts for young players, he has worked so hard. He's still 18. You forget that sometimes, he's unbelievably grown up. He's adapted so quickly to this level of football.
I love him a lot. We will help to develop him.
