I got a full grant, unemployment benefit in the summer, housing benefit

and no fees to pay. I did work throughout (bars/nightclubs, tutoring later on too) but I left University debt-free. Absolutely no chance whatsoever of anyone doing that these days, of course, unless your parents have a spare fifty grand or whatever lying around.
