well it's all relative

the Championship was much weaker back then, so of course our signings now are better players. But relative to the quality of the rest of the league - I don't think there's a great difference between the signings back then (Derveld, Anselin, de Blasiis, Segura, Giallanza) and the ones we're making now.

I guess the only difference is that we're signing way more players these days - so some of them are going to be half decent.
