I have to question the usefulness of...

any holding midfielder who cannot operate without ANOTHER holding midfielder next to him (doubly so if you have 3 CBs behind you). Most teams do not operate with TWO DM's, more usually one specialist DM and one box-to-box type.
If it is true (and I don't personally think it is, he just had a bad game the other night) that Tettey can only look decent with another holding midfielder next to him then frankly he shouldn't be here.
