I think that was partly that we didn't replace Malky though

I don't disagree that they were a quality partnership, but we didn't sign anyone that was better than Malky when we let him go, and then also stepped up a level.

Malky would have struggled at prem level, he was effective, but relatively limited as a football player. He's one of those guys who got absolutely everything out of his ability in my opinion.
