I was hoping that Godfrey would be getting a good chance to challenge for the first team this term.

If we're saying his main chance of making the first 11 is as reserve to Thompson or a loanee to back up zimmerman, then I really don't know why we didn't look to cash in on him... Our 'ambition' is tied to giving promising youngsters a chance. Klose is good, but I wouldn't have said indispensable (what with Zim, who impressed prem clubs last year, warming the bench)

Dunno if raggett has a recall option on his loan too.

I agree we need some backup, I just think that we've got people already here deserving of a chance.
