Just back from the game. Thoughts...

1. We really weren't that bad.
2. You really shouldn't be worried:
- We looked half cocked. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rhodes injury prompted Farke to tell the players to be at 60% today. For the first 75 minutes we looked like we couldn't be arsed. Nobody was gunning for it and we didn't look like we wanted more than a run out.
- The glimpses we saw of the new guys were good glimpses. Especially Ben Marshall and Emi Buendia. They both look like creative players with a lot to offer. Emi is a scrappy little **** who didn't mind getting stuck in... at one point he threw his head into the centre backs elbow to get in a competitive position and he also has some sexual flicks.
- Todd Cantwell looks ready for first team football, although a little arrogant, me thinks.
- We have some talent on the way in. Max Aarons looked quick at times, but he's not ready yet.
- Onel Hernadez will be huge for us this year. Even at half pace, he was quick and scored a great goal (albeit offside)
- We will probably never play in that kit again. It's garish and looks even worse in the baggy version over a 55 year old body.

Charlton seemed poor, but what they did have was drive and aggression. That was the only difference between the two teams today and I left feeling we had a lot more to offer.

There was only one downer for me... Tim Krul looked very dodgy indeed. He played several poor passes to opposition players and several slips including the Charlton goal. Hopefully, its just because he has been out for so long, but I'm not convinced.
