I think there’s so many simply wonderful places in Greece

For people to holiday, it’s not obvious why you’d go to the extra expense and hassle of going somewhere else. Plus the fact that Greece has always had relatively low wealth/income compared to a lot of other European countries, which would make holidaying abroad relatively bloody expensive for them.

I work with a Greek bloke who takes August off every year and spends all of it back home.
