The place or the Golf Club....?

In respect of the place it was back in 2012 I was there and didn't really see it as we stayed 25 miles away. It looked fine but couldn't go into any detail. I was impressed by the course. Properly set out and the fairways were ridiculously narrow and the bunkers scary. However having also been to Hoylake (2014) and Birkdale last year I felt Lytham didn't lend itself to spectating two or three groups / fairways at the same time as well as the others. Birkdale especially is a fantastic natural arena. Of the 3 Opens I've been to Birkdale was the best course overall I felt.
