As much as I dislike Shearer and Lineker

They're both spot on with the VAR penalty. It's only a penalty if a player has deliberately used their hand or arm to handle the ball. The French player gets a touch on the ball, meaning the ball changes direction.

VAR should not have been used as it was not a clear and obvious error. The referee was clearly influenced by it and caved to the pressure.

As a referee I would not have given that as a penalty. I really hope that doesn't decide the game because it would be a real shame.
