An article on Corbyn's 'support' for the IRA is littered with supportive quotes from everyone else but him. The only quotes from Corbyn relate to his opposition to the Anglo-Irish Treaty, which was opposed by both sides of the argument in NI. It's the most snide form of mud-slinging.
He wants/wanted a united Ireland. in the 70s/80s/90s if you supported that political aim, there would have been little way of avoiding being associated with IRA supporters/ex terrorists. He is repeatedly on record as being opposed to political violence by all sides in NI.
Do we condemn the likes of Peter Hain for his associations with militants and terrorists in South Africa?
The difficult truth for many is that Corbyn has ended up largely on the right side of the debate - HMG 'did' need to engage with Sinn Fein, Guildford 4/Birmingham 6 'were' wrongfully convicted, HMG 'did' engage in dodgy acts/collusion etc.
