The Binners nicked Cresswell from Tranmere, where he had been since school.
The Tribunal-set fee was 240k plus add-ons.
After 3 seasons Cresswell was sold to West Ham for 3.75m

In total, Tranmere got 1.08m for their (5-year?) development of the player
And Ipswich, for their 3-yr development, got over three times that amount (plus any add-ons or sell-on)
