the funny thing is...

it is called the Champions League. Surely then if Liverpool become champions of Europe they'll have more legitimate right to be in it than even the 2nd and 3rd placed teams, who aren't champions of anything. Or doesn't the name mean anything (actually I know the answer to that one!!)
