although I think the elo ratings may be putting a lot of emphasis on an impressive past year of performances, rather than the unconvicing way Brazil have looked so far.

I think Switzerland could smash Costa Rica by 4 or 5. If they want to - perhaps they'd prefer to avoid Germany.
