I was 13......may of 1994

Attended the open day and shyly stepped on to the pitch to ask Chris Sutton for his autograph on my Vitesse Arnhem programme. He replied “hang on a second mate” as he had his photo taken with a semi pretty blonde. Once the flash went off so did he. Walked past me without a glance in my direction. The rest is history. Can’t say I was too fussed when he swanned off to Blackburn weeks later.
