I saw no evidence there of a good footballer

Usually you can see that a player has one attribute that might mean they can make it but with him I just didn’t see anything. I just couldn’t see what he does or offers to the team other than being vaguely competent at the basics.

No pace, no real movement, ok technique, not a target man, not a playmaker, not the sort of commitment that stands out. I just didn’t get it.
