when my wisdom tooth wouldn't budge. I was high as a kite for hours after, and during the op the dentist would say things like "I can't shift it, I'm going to have to cut it into pieces" while wielding a dentist-sized circular saw thingy and I was very much "yeah fab idea mate go for it whee".

My root canal story is nowhere near as gruesome as yours or APB's but if it had started to go there I would certainly have asked for "the drip" again.
