What precisely is the attraction for some with Tommy Robinson?

Seeing a few FB friends sharing “free tommy” appeals etc. Now I know my politics vary from his and his followers. That’s not the point. I can accept that people have different points of view. However, what precisely has he done to make him such an icon for the far right?

I mean objectively, not simply that he spouts racist s**t which some people want to hear. I mean what has he actually done for those people? I mean, I’m not going to go full outrage if Billy Bragg is arrested filming and ranting outside a court room while defendants are being tried for attacking homosexuals. I would totally agree with his point of view but would totally understand the arrest in the context of allowing the justice system to function correctly.
