Keep an eye out for Cadborosaurus as that's pretty rare

Haines is cool if you stop off there. I remember popping into the library to check on the City news and had a nice cold pint of Amber Ale in the sports bar after freezing my arse off in Glacier Bay. The whole place feels like a set from a Lynch movie.
