I did reference the Bruce and Phelan moves in my original post. Agree about Linighan....

....but not sure Newcastle as a newly promoted team last season (and we were relegated same time) were much bigger. However all I was trying to look at was have we sold to a really big club - who were a big big club at the time - since the days of Fashanu and Reeves. Discussion point really.
