Let’s see how he goes next season without the promotion momentum

He did ok for us first season and he certainly was not a terrible manager but he still should have been sacked well before he was. That was the mistake, not sacking him early enough to make a difference.

Maybe he’s learnt from his experience with us, maybe he hasn’t. Time will tell but I certainly think he’s been a bit fortunate that several established prem sides have had stinkers this season unexpectedly.
