Anyone just see that ex army sergeant on BBC News talking about

The disappearance of his toddler daughter whilst stationed over in Germany back in 1981?
He was determined to make the point that the media here and in Germany have been excellent and wanted to thank them, with the exception of one newspaper over here who, from what I seemed to pick up from what he was saying, had cast aspersions about him and his family.

Anyone know which paper it was and what they said?
