I think we did everything a season too late with him

If he'd gone out on loan January 2017, it would have given him the opportunity to move on to a new club last summer. Instead he was hanging around after a poor season and now has had rather an embarrassing loan spell. It's not the end of his career with us I would have liked, even if his mistakes were starting to drive me insane.
