It would be great reputationally for the club and might actually do some good as well.
Either crowdfund as suggested, with or without an extra fiver on the replica shirt price to boost things along, or tie it in with a local charideemate (so give some local Good Causes that space on the shirt for a few games or whatever). Or even just sell it for £750k to a normal company or something. I'm sure there are more creative/better ways to take it forward as well; the key thing is to get the club to think in these terms.
Shame the next AGM is still quite a way away; if nothing's happened by then I am very tempted to put in an appearance (as I am a shareholder so entitled to ask questions). I reckon it's the kind of thing Balls might actually get behind personally.
