The first line of the article sums it up well....

“Relatives of a burglar who was fatally stabbed during a raid on a pensioner's home have marked his birthday at the crime scene”

The crime scene being the scene of a burglary he was committing rather than how that kind of sentence is usually applied when someone has died.

Ridiculous. By all means mark his birthday, but not there.

Oh well. It’s all been said before I’m sure.
