I don’t find any of the reasons given by the reporter convincing

“chemical weapons hold a special horror, partly because poison gas is often invisible” (are you serious? What difference does that make? Can you see a bullet or a bomb? What balls)

“partly because of the indiscriminate way it can seek out every hiding place” (big bombs are pretty efficient at that too, ask Dresden)

“and partly because of the agonising death it can cause” (being killed isn’t a huge amount of fun in general, and bullets or shrapnel tearing your guts to bird leavingbyou a few agonising hours or days isn’t any better)
